WAFCON 2022: Zambia Defender Mweemba Ruled Out Of Super Falcons Clash

For today’s third-place match against Nigeria at the 2022 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations, the Copper Queens of Zambia will be without their star defender Lushomo Mweemba.

As a result of suspension, Mweemba will not be able to participate in the game.

The 21-year-old has been an important player for Bruce Nwape’s team in Morocco. She is known for her long free kicks.

However, goalkeeper Hazel Nail is back in training and is expected to be in goal against the Super Falcons.

Zambia, who are making their second appearance at the WAFCON are hoping to finish among the top three.

The Super Falcons will be without three key players; Onome Ebi, Halimat Ayinde and Rasheedat Ajibade for the game.

The encounter will take place at the Stade Mohamed V, Casablanca.
