In a statement on Instagram on Tuesday, August 2, Bimbo noted that “impostors, fraudulent individuals, and organizations are impersonating themselves as Bimbo Ademoye & other prestigious brands I represent to extort money from innocent Nigerians online and via social media.”
“The handle @officialbimboademoye and the link attached to this particular handle on tik tok are not in any way linked to me. Therefore, I strongly denounce this fraudulent unscrupulous impersonation and hereby alert the general public to this urgent situation.
“It is also important to note that for any purchase from any of the prestigious brands I represent kindly ensure your payments are made to the account name and number of the particular brand. Should you be contacted by these suspicious entities, please do not engage in any transaction with them.”
WITHIN NIGERIA recalls, actor Bolanle Ninalowo aka Nino B or Makanaki raised an alarm over an alleged fraudster impersonating him and using his pictures to blackmail a lady with her naked pictures.
The actor posted a video on Instagram on Thursday, July 28, distancing himself from fake social media accounts and the said blackmailer.According to Bolanle, a lady sent her naked pictures to one of the scammers impersonating him and the scammer has been threatening to release the photos if she does not pay him.
